Lgndary Thoughts - What Are You Playing?

Happy Friday everyone! Things have been a little slow with E3 having come and gone, so there won’t be a video this week. Instead, I thought it would be nice to discuss what we have all been playing recently. Welcome to Lgndary Thoughts!

For starters, I have finally beaten Bloodborne! I know, I know, it took me far too long. I bought the game at launch, played it for a bit and loved it so much that I went out and bought Dark Souls II so I could play through that first. I got a little side tracked after finishing Dark Souls II, but earlier this year I finally got the time to pick it back up, and couldn’t stop playing until I was finished.

It easily is one of my favorite games of all time. The lore, the difficulty, the battle mechanics, everything about it was incredible. I have to give a special shoutout to the bosses as well. So many games these days are moving away from having bosses at all, so it is very refreshing to have a large amount of unique, challenging fights to experience. I very much look forward to my second play-through where I’ll get to use the scythe!

After I finished Bloodborne, I moved to two different games. The first of which is Splatoon 2. I have talked about Splatoon here a lot, as it is one of my favorite games. But the Octo Expansion was a great reason to go back. I don’t really care for the single player content of the game, but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to play as an Octoling. I am loving the new look and animations they have, but I am disappointed by the lack of hairstyles. I do like the options they have, but more variety is always nice. Hopefully, they add a couple more before the end of the year.

The final game that I have been focusing on is Hollow Knight, which I have found to be a masterpiece of a game. It actually reminds me a lot of the Souls series, and not just because it has similar mechanics when it comes to in-game currency. The atmosphere, the music, the mysterious nature of the game, and even the exploration aspect all give me the same feeling I have when playing Souls titles. This is honestly one of the best games I have ever played. I can’t believe I’m about to say this, but I think it is better than God of War. I truly cannot recommend this game enough.

That is all from me this week! I’m not sure how many people still check here, but those that do should let me know what you’ve been playing. Have a good weekend everyone! And expect a video sometime next week!
